NBA:40 Things to get excited about

The NBA has announced a plan to come back. I’m beyond excited about this, so I just wanted to put my thoughts and my thrill on the page.

1. Basketball
2. No more Charlotte Hornets, Detroit Pistons games
3. Euthanizing the seasons of teams like the Warriors and Hawks as to not put their fan bases through more misery 
4. Meaningful, exciting, uncertain games between the end of the regular season and the 2nd round
5. A reshaped sports schedule with football and basketball around the clock
6. Interesting, meaningful programming on ESPN (Sorry, Stephen A.)
7. Not having to go to YouTube for the NBA on ESPN/NBA on TNT themes
8. Not having to go to YouTube to hear Mike Breen say Bang!
9. Hearing Kevin Harlan’s voice outside of 2K
10. More Charles Barkley 
11. More Reggie Miller (my new favorite basketball player after watching him trash talk the Knicks in the Winning Time 30 for 30)
12. A blueprint/precedent for US sports coming back 
13. People getting excited about a game in Orlando for the first time in over a decade
14. A platform for players to protest
15. A pro-protesting precedent (try saying that three times fast) for sports as a whole
16. A national TV audience for players to truly make a difference
17. A first step to bringing back the economy
18. Basketball star golf matches?
19. Basketball star poker games?
20. Basketball stars being entertaining?
21. Basketball at Disney World
22. A play in test run
23. Basketball without strings attached AKA basketball without Pistons, Hornets, and Cavs
24. Thrilling matches between bubble teams with no chance of winning it all
25. The chance to win a lot of money with the Suns’ +50000 odds
26. Devin Booker and Bradley Beal playing meaningful games where they may have to score 100
27. Getting psyched to watch a Suns game
28. A (slightly) relevant Kings team
29. A chance for another year of the Spurs playoff streak
30. A spotlight on an electrifying offensive Wizards team
31. Damian Lillard. I need say no more
32. Zion. I don’t need to explain myself here
33. A first spotlight for so many young guys who likely wouldn’t have gotten to play games of this magnitude for years
34. Finding out who will bring their best stuff to a few months of quality opponents
35. No travel time, so each team can play every other day
36. No load management for most squads
37. Healthy Clippers
38. Recharged LeBron

40. Basketball!!!!!

Monday Night Bites: Halloween Movies

  Entertainment: Halloween Movies This week, I really binged some Halloween content before the holiday. Along with some The Simpsons “Treehouse of Horror” episodes, I enjoyed It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, The Addams Family, both family favorites, in addition to my first viewing of the horror classic Scream.
